The Premier League title race is fully shaping up now.Manchester United lead the pack,7points above City.Chelsea are also quietly getting back into the race, they sit in 3rd place,4points adrift of City but with a game in hand.
The relegation battle is also in full flare, with many teams in & around the red zone.
Saturday
SUNDERLAND v SPURS 1:45PM
The Mackems beat City on Wednesday to make it a valuable 2 wins in 2 matches for them, they now sit 5places above relegation in 13th position.Spurs also their impressive form with an emphatic away win over hapless Aston Villa. The lily whites have a strong record against Sunderland & with Bale in full flow,it may just continue.1-3
VILLA v WIGAN 4PM
The is a match of two teams in dreadful form.Aston Villa have lost their last two matches by a combined scoreline of 14-0.Wigan have also lost 5 of their last 6 matches. It will be intriguing to see how these two teams will approach this game.1-1
FULHAM v SWANSEA 4PM
Fulham is another team in all kinds of trouble. They were once everyone's second team, now it's their next opponent,Swansea.Berbatov's goals seems to have dried up as they are struggling a bit for goals.Swansea on the other hand are free scoring with the aid of the imperious Michu. It will be an interesting game which ever way it goes.3-2
MAN UTD v WBA 4PM
Manchester United did what they do best against Newcastle as they claimed another 3points to go 7points clear at the top.But the manner & frequency at which they concede goals these days is a concern.
West Brom is a much better this season & cannot be underrated.Rooney will miss the game through injury,so will Kagawa & Rafael.
United fans will hope van Persie can deliver the goods again.3-1
NORWICH v MAN CITY 4PM
Norwich are a very compact team & difficult to beat at home.City have their work cut out for them, they can't afford to lose any more ground & Norwich won't make it easy for them.Mancini will do well to stop messing with his best XI.The match I suspect will be about getting the job done for City. They have enough fire power to do just that.1-2
READING v WEST HAM 4PM
With Reading, you have a sneaky feeling that they don't have what it takes to escape relegation. They defeated all comers last season to take the Championship crown, that includes West Ham.But the EPL is another ball game.West Ham have since added much more quality to their squad.0-1
STOKE v SOUTHAMPTON. 4PM
Stoke City are having a great season, they have kept 9 clean sheets & conceded the fewest number of goals in the league.I fear they will bully a "ball playing" Southampton side into submission.1-0
ARSENAL v NEWCASTLE 6:30PM
Newcastle will feel very sorry for themselves for losing at Old Trafford but they have to pick themselves up & take courage from what was an impressive all round performance. The Gunners are in 7th place,3points off 3rd place with a game in hand.Arteta & Wilshere have been the driving force of the team in recent weeks. Those two need to be in top form again if they will get any joy against Newcastle.1-3
Sunday
EVERTON v CHELSEA 2:30PM
Chelsea will face a very stern test at Goodison Park.Everton is their bogey team & they also tend to do well against the big boys.Everton will miss the services of Marouane Fellaini(that will give Benitez some comfort),Kevin Mirallas & Tony Hibbert.Chelsea will be without John Terry,Oriol Romeu & possibly Dani Sturridge. It will be a war of attrition.1-1
QPR v LIVERPOOL 5PM
I really have no idea where the match will go.Liverpool are now as unpredictable as Wigan while QPR are well,QPR.
Redknapp will have his boys fired up for this match but then if the decent Liverpool show up it will take some performance to swing the match in their favour.1-2
