Lionel messi: En route to a fourth consecutive ballon d'or title?

The argentine and barcelona star grabbed his third consecutive ballon
d'or accolade in the year 2011 at the expense of cristiano ronaldo(who
has always played a second fiddle)andreas iniesta,xavi,didier
drogba,kun aguero and a host of other candidates.
Messi got his first ever ballon d'or title in 2009,making him the
first ever player to be crowned the accolade from his native
country,argentina.Playing a total of 51games and scoring 38goals.He
finally won both the FIFA world player and the ballon d'or crown
winning with 473points from a possible 480points(greatest ever
margin),edging out candidates like cristiano ronaldo(who grabbed it in
2008),wayne rooney,xavi,iniesta and others.
The forward started the subsequent season(2009/2010)in bright form
which shows in his displays and performances,he scored the goal that
settled the game against estudiantes en route to barca's first ever

wembley against manchester united,hence winning the ballon d'or for

of 232goals to become the clubs all time goal scorer.Messi has scored
in every competition in 2011/2012 season,totally an astonishing 73 as
barca conquered and got the spanish super cup,european super cup,club

The debate is hot and going on with various opinions from all over
the world as to who should be crowned the world best player for the
year 2012! Maybe we should just wait for fifa till january?.The clock
