PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTION:WEEK 17

Once again,I'll attempt to predict the outcome of this week's English Premier League round of matches.Man Utd are top of the log,6points more than second placed City.
Chelsea will have their fixture against Southampton rescheduled because of the FIFA Club World Cup commitments.

Satuday
NEWCASTLE v MAN CITY 1:45PM
City are of course still smarting from last week's derby defeat to United.Newcastle are also reeling from an away defeat to Fulham last time out.City have grounds to make up in the title race & Newcastle are currently running the risk of being sucked into the relegation battle. So the match is well poised & could be an intriguing encounter.1-3

LIVERPOOL v VILLA 4PM
Against West Ham,Liverpool made a mockery of the notion that they can't score goals without Suarez. But having Suarez return for this one is always a big bonus.Villa are struggling for goals & creativity.I see this going only one way.2-0

MAN UTD v SUNDERLAND 4PM
Confidence is high at Old Trafford right now after last week's derby delight, less so at Sunderland, they got a valuable 3 points in their rescheduled match against Reading on tuesday. The deserved it but Reading made them look good.
Getting anything against Man Utd is a tall order for the Mackems.3-0

NORWICH v WIGAN. 4PM
Norwich seems to have overcome the 'second season syndrome' that threathened to grip then earlier in the season.Wigan will fancy their chances though.2-1

QPR v FULHAM 4PM
QPR are still very much in trouble, their chances are very bleak. They have played out 3draws in a row. What they need is a run of wins.I suspect their winless run will continue against Fulham.Fulham are very well drilled & they have Berbatov.1-2

STOKE v EVERTON 4PM
Stoke City are on a good run. They are usually very formidable at the Brittania so I can't see Everton getting much joy against them.2-1

Sunday
SPURS v SWANSEA. 4PM
Both teams will be looking to bounce straight back from narrow & perhaps undeserved losses. This will be no easy task for the Spurs, the Swans have showed time & again that they are more than a match for anyone.3-2

WBA v WEST HAM
The Baggies have now lost 3 straight matches after their fairy tale start to the season. They have to pick themselves up & get back to winning ways.West Ham stand as an obstacle to that aim but I don't think they are a big enough obstacle.2-1

Monday
READING v ARSENAL 9PM
In the past this would just be a easy run out for Arsenal but nowadays ,you never know what you will get with Arsenal. They will be deflated from the humiliating League Cup loss to Bradford.Reading could take advantage of that but on the flidside,Arsenal can come out, guns blazing & rout Reading. It's a toss up.1-3
