matches at the etihad,and it was a thrilling one with twists and
turns.The revenge was however sweet for united as former gunner man
gunned down city to six points from the table summit.
The match started brightly and city began to get most of the
possessions,but then in the 16',a nice pass from ashley from the left
flank to wayne rooney allowed the striker to find space and place past
two defenders and ultimately joe hart.
Vincent kompany however made an early leave due to injury and was
replaced by kolo toure in the 21',this however proved detrimental as
United doubled their lead through rooney again in the 29',antonio
valencia released rafael to cut a nice low cross for wayne rooney to
latch past joe hart.City were resilent,however they couldnt grind out
anything before half time.
The second half was put underway by city and moments later,mario
balloteli was replaced by carlos tevez ,the substitute paid dividends
as he provided an assist for yaya toure to power home in the 60',the
comeback was however completed as zabaleta also powered home a nice
shot from a tevez corner in the 86' minutes,but it wasn't done as both
team wanted a winner,edin dzeko was introduced but it was united who
laughed last as a nice robin van persie free kick was put expertly
