Van persie scores as United sees off arsenal.

Robin van persie returned to the club he played at for 8years,but that
didnt even deter his thinking as he scored the match opener for his
new club, manchester united in just 4minutes from kick off.Rio
ferdinands pass was met well by valencia as he,with dexterity made a
back heel pass to rafael, the young lad put the cross into arsenal's
box, only for thomas vermalean to clear woefully to van persie's
path, the dutch man didn't think twice as he used his weak right
foot[which was actually strong at that moment] to swerve past vito
mannone to the far corner of the net.

Wayne rooney should have doubled the lead before half time,as a
penalty was given after young's cross was blocked by santi carzola's
hand, mike dean however pointed to the penalty spot, rooney stepped
up,and cooly and narrowly missed the kick. But,after the break,Patrice
evra ensured he saved rooney's blushes when he met the same rooney's
corner to head low to the corner of the post in the 66th minutes.

Theo walcott ran out of miracles as he couldn't perform as expected. It
wasn't reading royals this time.
Arsenal were however reduced to 10men as jack wilshere was given his
marching orders after a tackle of patrice evra[hence a second yel low
card]with just 21 minutes of play left.Van persie and anderson also
got their goals disqualified later in the match due to offiside
positions. But in the 94th minutes, santi carzorla gave his side a
consolation as his shot went into the far corner of de gea's net,a
reading-like comeback was out of sight as they ran out of time, united
however took the 3points to keep the pressure on chelsea as they won
the game 2-1 against the gunners at old trafford.

Nice composition from van persie.
