Last week was pretty average,I only scored 4 correct results & 1 perfect result(Stoke's 1nil win over QPR).Arsenal ,Chelsea & Newcastle all failed to reward my faith in them.
Some readers are getting unnecessarily worked up over my weekly predictions, they feel I'm biased toward some teams.Well it's only natural that I pick maybe a Chelsea over a regular Joe like QPR(no disrespect),don't we all do that?
In any case,my predictions doesn't have a bearing on the real scoreline plus you can always come up with ur own predictions(use the comment box!)
Saturday
ARSENAL v SPURS 1:45PM
The London derby is usually a keenly contested match, last season this fixture gave us plenty of thrills & fireworks. You can expect more of the same again.Gunners will be pleased to see Giroud finally finding his shooting boots meanwhile AVB will have an important decision to make in either playing Ade & Defoe together or starting with one of them.Either way,it should be an open game will plenty of goals.2-2
LIVERPOOL v WIGAN 4PM
This is a real test for the Reds.Playing Wigan is very tricky, they can be a tough customer on their day even away from home, just ask Spurs.
Suarez will be relied upon to unlock Wigan's 3man defence.Arouna Kone & Di Santo are forging an interesting partnership for Wigan.2-1
MAN CITY v ASTON VILLA 4PM
This is the Villa side that eliminated the Citizens from the League Cup & threatened to take all three points against Man Utd last week. They can be very resolute atimes but I reckon City's quality will be too much for them.3-0
NEWCASTLE v SWANSEA 4PM
Newcastle are stuttering a bit, they are some 6-8 points off their target after 11 games.Swansea got a point in the corresponding fixture last season. They will fancy their chances.1-1
QPR v SOUTHAMPTON 4PM
Two teams currently immersed in the relegation dogfight do battle. 20th vs 19th.It's a winner takes all situation.I have a feeling that the manager that ends up on the losing side will get the boot.A draw won't serve either of them well so they better coax out a good performance from their players.2-1
READING v EVERTON 4PM
The Royals are in plenty of trouble & looking at their squad will make you feel they will never get out of it,most of their players are not premier league quality. Its not a good time to host Everton, they are absolutely smoking at the moment.0-1
WBA v CHELSEA 4PM
It's been a dream start for the Baggies & their rookie manager Steve Clark. They will aim to take 3points against the most exciting Chelsea team in recent memory. It won't be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination but they will fancy their chances right in front of thier fans.Romelu Lukaku looks sets to miss this one(yes,he can't play against his parent club.If only so he won't wreck them they will get angry & recall him the following day).1-1
NORWICH v MAN UTD 6:30PM
The Canaries gave United a good game last season & almost got a point. If United again give them a headstart like they've doing this season,I bet they won't implode like other teams tend to do.
But you know what,Chicharito is still around, just incase Man Utd get into trouble.1-2.
Sunday
FULHAM v SUNDERLAND 5PM
Fulham got a credible 3all draw @ the Emirates last week & will be buoyed by that performance.Meanwhile Sunderland are edging nearer to the red zone.Their performance @ Goodison Park last week should have at least earned them a point but some iffy finishing ensured they got nothing.Their summer outlay dictates that they should be scoring goals in plentiful but they aren't & that is the root of their problems.2-1
Monday
WEST HAM v STOKE CITY 9PM
This two route-one football specialists will try to out do each other.A draw is in the offing,I can smell it,I can feel it...1-1
