City continue to edge closer to elimination from the champions league
after ending the match in a stalmate again at the etihad.Siem de jong
got his team the opener for the match after dwelling on a loose ball
from nastatic in just 10minutes of play.The second wasnt far as it
came in just 7minutes after the first goal.It was siem de jong again
that helped his team double the lead.
City however pulled one back through yaya toure,as the midfielder
acrobatically sent the ball into ajax's net in the 22minutes,and the
game went into half time with ajax leading.The second half got
underway as city continue to press for the equaliser which didnt come
until the 74th minutes when aguero help them finish the ball after
balloteli's flick pass.The last ten minutes was bad for ajax as city
continued to attack and press for a winner.They however couldnt get it
as both team shared a point.
City are now rooted to the bottom of group D with just 2points,having
to face real madrid at the etihad in 3weeks time,and also away to
dortmund in the last game of the group and also hoping the other group
matches go their way.
Would city qualify or miss out again for the second consecutive season?
