What is it about Roberto Mancini's new found fascination with the
3-5-2 formation? One can't but wonder.I have been wondering too.I am
not qualified in any way to be a football manager but even then I know
you don't tweak a tried & tested formation & if you do that,you don't
mess around with your best personnel.If you want to impose a formation
change,wouldn't you want your finest players to execute it so as to
stand a chance of success? No,Mancini thought differently.He
continously forced formation(even in middle of matches)on his players
without previously preparing them for it & even had to balls to admit
it.
Mancini strikes me as a man who is trying too hard to impress the
wrong people.I mean,he is doing things right out of the textbook just
to come across as a brilliant manager.Imagine if his mindless
experiments came off well,he will be getting rave reviews &
adulation,he will be hailed as a revolutionary.
Apparently,his experiments has failed & spectacularly too,now he needs
to cut the crap & go back to normal service.
